Arjen Douma has focused on business law and civil procedural law since he was sworn in as a lawyer in 1999. With many years of experience, he advises and represents entrepreneurs on intertwining and unbundling partnerships, contracts, professional liability issues and a wide range of other civil corporate law matters and disputes. In addition, he has completed the Grotius/Insolad specialist course in Insolvency Law, making him the right person to turn to for turnarounds, (re)financing structures, restructuring scenarios, complex debt collection cases, or disputes with insolvency practitioners.

Arjen is calm, down-to-earth and keeps both feet firmly on the ground. He is a sharp legal expert, but also takes into account non-legal interests. With his pragmatic and sometimes creative, out-of-the-box approach to problems, he has been a reliable advisor to various SME entrepreneurs as their in-house lawyer for many years. Arjen has been an entrepreneur himself since 2006 and has been a partner at ScheerSanders Advocaten since 2016. In addition to his work, he is actively involved in his profession as a member of the Board of Representatives of the Netherlands Bar Association.
